Brantôme

Known as the “Venice of the Périgord,” Brantôme is a charming town with a picturesque setting on the river Dronne. 

It’s famous for its Benedictine Abbey that regularly hosts concerts and exhibitions throughout the seasons, and stunning natural beauty with scenic walking trails along the riverbanks and lush greenery. 

Rent canoes along the river or walk the cute shopping streets and soak in the local vibe. Take shelter from the midday sun in the park or visit one of the river bank terraces for lunch. Shop from local artisans and creatives at the market on the square or visit a Brocante & Antique market in the public garden.

For the sun worshiper many cafes have several spots to sit in the sun and people watch while sampling local and international beers.
